five thirty. bored. exploring meta tags. i haven't blogged in quite a few days. i wrote a chapter of a safer haven, and half of another one last night. but i want to post the half-completed one first, so neither is up on the site yet. i'm considering putting up a website with all of my work.
i finally got around to seeing lord of the rings a few days ago. damn good movie. david slept through part of it, but then again, he's probably seen it at least five times by now, seeing as he works at AMC. i loved the scenery. it was absolutely breathtaking. the head elf guy was played by the same actor who did the head agent in the matrix. i swear, the people behind me must have thought i was choking to death, with the noises i was making trying not to laugh out loud when he was making his speech. it was just so hilarious seeing him as an elf, and then seeing an elf talk like an agent.
new year's was spent at jen's place. she was hosting a LAN/console party. i did part of the setup for the lan. imagine a round table, with five monitors facing five keyboards and five mice. in front of them are five chairs, with a CPU to the right of each one. they are all hooked into a router and about three power strips. i was in heaven just setting it up. sean brought the boondock saints. that's the first time i've seen it since i first rented it. sean said that it was the movie he and his buds watch to get hyped for going out on the field. there was champagne, but i didn't want to have to ingest some nasty liquid just so i could say that i had alcohol. plus i don't drink. instead, i chose the sparkling apple cider. it was terrible: tasted just like champagne but without the alcohol. we watched the countdown on some spanish channel. sean toasted the men overseas serving our country.
i feel guilty for not hanging out with the people i should be hanging out with. the people whom i said i'd hang out with. high school friends. i've felt so tired lately, so drained recently. so useless. i need a recharge. i need a break from life.
i bought the complete works of robert frost a few days back for only $10. it's worth about $40. yay.
i wish i were ten again. i would live my life so differently.
